Viva Material Lab: Living Material Practices

In collaboration with BAM – Biblioteca degli Alberi Milano, I developed two participatory workshops for adults and children focused on the exploration of bio-based materials. The workshops combined artistic practice with a social approach, using organic waste such as carrot peels, mushrooms, and other biomaterials to reflect on resource cycles and material potential.

Through hands-on and collective activities, participants were introduced to the possibilities of working with living and organic matter, and invited to imagine both utopic and dystopic futures shaped by these materials.

The project fostered critical awareness around material consumption and environmental responsibility, creating a space for shared learning, imagination, and community engagement.
